Elbow Bursitis

The repetitive motions can cause the tennis elbow or bursitis. The repetitive motions can also result in the development of small tears in the muscle, causing pain and irritation in the tendons attached to the bone.

Symptoms of Elbow Bursitis

  • There is a reduction in the grip of the hand.
  • A feeling of sensation, pain or twisting when gripping something from outside of the elbow, going towards the forearm and back of the hand.

  • Cortisone injections to help reduce pain and swelling
  • The use of braces around the elbow
  • Sometimes the doctor recommends rest to the patient
  • Surgery is the last option used when conservative treatment options fail to yield a result.
