Clavicle Fracture

Too much pressure can break a bone. A clavicle fracture is also called hairline crack.

Symptoms of Clavicle Fracture

  • The shoulder appears to be visibly out of place.
  • Bruising and swelling of the shoulder.
  • The patient may feel intense pain on their shoulder.
  • The difficulty faced by the patient in moving the shoulder.

Treatment of Clavicle Fracture

  • Sling used to immobilize the affected shoulder cannot be used for collarbones.
  • The orthopedic surgeon may recommend surgery for implanting fixation devices like plates, rods, or plates, in case the bone does not fall back into its alignment.
